Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been named Grand Patron by the state chapter of the Association of Retired States’ Permanent Secretaries of Nigeria.
The Governor was decorated during a courtesy visit of the association led by its chairman Prince Ayo Fagbemi to Government House, Ilorin, on Wednesday.
In an earlier report, the Chairman, said the association was formed to assist the state government in reengineering the civil service for improved performance and better productivity.
He added that the group was also raised to cater for the welfare of its members, who bowed out after meritorious years in the service.
Fagbemi stated this when he led members of his executive on a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed, at the Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin, in June.
He noted that the association was out to offer assistance to the government in the training and retraining of civil servants, who he identified, as the engine room of the service.
