As part of the activities to celebrate the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir festival, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu observed Eid prayer alongside some other Muslim faithful at Obalende Eid Prayer Ground in Dodan Barracks, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
President Tinubu returned to Lagos on Tuesday, to celebrate the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir in his country home, after his foreign trips to France, where he attended a Global Summit, ‘A new Global Financing Pact,’ hosted in Paris, by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and his private visit to London, United Kingdom, after the Paris Summit on Saturday.
However, upon his arrival at the Eid on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, President Tinubu was warmly received by the Chief Imam of Lagos State, Suliman Abuo-Nolla, who led the congregation in the special prayers for Eid.
President Tinubu’s Salah trip to Lagos will be his first trip to Lagos state, after his inauguration as the President on May 29, 2023.
Meanwhile, the official Salah holiday is set to conclude on Thursday, June 29, but from all indications, the President may extend his stay in Lagos until the following week, possibly departing on Sunday or Monday, before returning to the nation’s capital, Abuja, where he will be resuming back to his official duties as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
