The Independent National Electoral Commission, in Ondo State on Wednesday took delivery of sensitive election materials from the Akure branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

 

The items include ballot papers and results sheets for the 2023 general election which will commence with the presidential and National Assembly polls on Saturday, February the 25th.

 

The materials are expected to be taken for onward distribution to the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

 

It was also gathered that representatives of the different political parties in Ondo State were with the electoral body as it took custody of the sensitive materials.

 

There was also a heavy presence of security operatives at the venue.
