First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday, received the National Agricultural Development Fund in Abuja in a bid to improve the Renewed Hope Initiative.
This development was made known in a press release signed and issued by the Special adviser to the Office of the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, on Wednesday.
According to the release, the management of NADFUND, led by the Executive Secretary Dr Garzali Mohammed, visited Mrs Tinubu, to intimate her of their intention to collaborate with the Initiative on Capacity Building, Guided direction on provision of implements and inputs, and expert advice on the Agricultural scope of the Initiative.
The release read, “The Renewed Hope Initiative of the Office of the First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a boost with the readiness of the National Agricultural development Fund, NADFUND to collaborate with the Initiative on Capacity Building, Guided direction on provision of implements and inputs, and expert advice on the Agricultural scope of the Initiative.
“This was disclosed at the visit by the management of NADFUND, led by the Executive Secretary Dr Garzali Mohammed to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON at the State House, Abuja.
“The First Lady described the visit as one that would boost the Initiatives quest for a better deal for women in the Agricultural sector.
“Senator Oluremi Tinubu pointed out that the Initiative intends to get top the 6 geopolitical zones of the country to enhance the Agricultural sector through women participation and improved capacity.
“She assured the agency of her support in possible areas and sharing her wealth of experience when the need arises.
“The National Agriculture Development Fund, an Agency of Government which started over a year ago is saddled with the responsibility of building robust capacity in the Agricultural Sector, Provide market for Agricultural produce and provide financial inclusion.”
