The House of Representatives has granted President Bola Tinubu’s request to amend the 2022 appropriation act.
The approval was granted in response to Tinubu’s request for N500 billion in palliatives for Nigerians, aimed at alleviating the difficulties resulting from the removal of subsidies.
The amendment successfully underwent three readings during the plenary session on Wednesday.
The House approved the President’s request on Thursday following contributions from its members.
