Rivers crisis: I’m still signing with ‘red biro’ – Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has assured that his red pen of authority is still with him for signing, signifying that he is still the state governor.

Fubara said this at the crossover church service at St. Paul’s Archdeaconry Parish in Opobo Town on 2024 New Year’s Eve in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area.

Recall that the governor has been on the media lately as an aftermath of the rifts with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, who happened to have handed over power to Fubara.

Amidst cheers, he assured the state of more developments as long as he remains the governor.

He admonished the people of the state not to be frightened by anything, claiming that the people have won the battle.

He said, “I want to urge every one of us here, don’t be frightened. What they want is this red biro; it is still with me. They have failed. You are the winner; we are the winner because we are still signing with the red biro. And, so long as we are signing with the red biro, development will continue in Rivers State.”
