The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, said that in a no distant time Rivers people will know who is in charge of the state.
The former Rivers governor made the statement in meeting that took place at the home of the south-south Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Victor Giadom, on Saturday.
Recall that the FCT minister and Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara have been on the fore-front of the media as an aftermath of the political faceoff.
This led to President Bola Tinubu’s involvement in settling peace among the duo.
Recently, Governor Fubara trended on the media claiming that he still has the “red biro,” hinting that those behind the crisis wanted him out of office and since he is still in charge, he is the winner while those against him have failed.
Meanwhile, Wike urged Rivers people that they should not pay attention to noise makers, adding that with time the true lord of the state shall be known.
In his words, “Forget about these hungry noisemakers on the road. When the time comes, we will know who is in charge and who is not in charge. There is a time for everything.
“This is not time for politics. When the time comes, we will know who is who. If you like abuse me as you want . If you like employ everybody on social media. I have never bothered myself one day to know who is abusing me. Politics will come. We didn’t contest election based on social media. We spoke to the people, they listened and believed in us”.
