The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a 50% reduction of the transport fare of all Lagos state government-run vehicles.
This development is coming amid the lingering scarcity of fuel and naira issue which the country is currently facing.
According to Sanwo-Olu, the state government had put a stop to Ijegun Egba road construction so that fuel tankers could deliver the cargo.
He added that food banks would be established in several areas of the state to provide food to Lagos residents.
The governor also praised Lagosians for their tolerance, endurance, and fortitude during this trying time and urged them to maintain peace.
He issued a warning to troublemakers not to try to exploit the situation to start trouble.
