According to Sanwo-Olu, the state government had put a stop to Ijegun Egba road construction so that fuel tankers could deliver the cargo.

He added that food banks would be established in several areas of the state to provide food to Lagos residents.

The governor also praised Lagosians for their tolerance, endurance, and fortitude during this trying time and urged them to maintain peace.

He issued a warning to troublemakers not to try to exploit the situation to start trouble.
