According to Channels, this was stated by the EU Chief Observer, Mister Barry Andrews, in Abuja while addressing Journalists.

The fundamental reason for the widespread voter apathy, according to Barry, is that voters’ expectations during the presidential race were not satisfied.

The EU Observer added that there were instances of vote buying in several regions of the nation.

He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission performed better in the administration of the elections thanks to the deployment and use of technology. He also praised INEC for an improvement in its logistics plans.
