The governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has urged residents to cast their ballots for members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the upcoming March 11 House of Assembly election.

According to The Punch, Soludo asserted that supporting APGA candidates would enable him to maintain the rate of development across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas.

The governor made this request via his press secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, who talked to journalists in Awka on Friday.

One of the states that will exclusively hold House of Assembly elections is Anambra State.

The governor claimed that the overwhelming support for APGA’s candidates will provide him more time to work and bring more democratic benefits to the state.

He declared, “We shall continue to perform our duties without interference if APGA controls the state Legislature. But if the opposition is allowed to have their way, progress will be slowed down.

“Before the end of my first term in office, Anambra State would become the most secure, business-friendly, livable, and prosperous state in Nigeria if the people vote for APGA candidates.”

Furthermore, he urged the media to only cover stories that will help maintain the state’s current peaceful state.
