Supreme Court begins judgement on Atiku’s appeal

The Supreme Court has begun delivering judgement on the appeal by the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

Apart from challenging the verdict of the tribunal, Atiku also sought the leave of the court to submit fresh documents.

The presiding justice of the panel, John Okoro, is reading the lead judgment on Atiku’s appeal.

Atiku’s case is the first being treated by the apex court.

Both Atiku and his Labour Party’s counterpart, Peter Obi, are challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu during the February 25, 2023, presidential election.
