This was made known through a letter issued to Arise TV which was obtained by our correspondent.

The NBC fined the media house for reporting an unconfirmed report about the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

The media house on Saturday, 12 November, 2022 reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced investigation into a case of criminal forfeiture against Tinubu.

However the electoral body had come out to deny the statement which led to a rejoinder from Arise TV, where its management apologized for the publication.

In a latest development, NBC has stated that it has fined Arise TV over a breach of its code.

They also accused the management of Arise TV of “gross display of unprofessionalism and insensitivity”.
