The Kano State Police Command has implemented a prohibition on all types of demonstrations within the state, effective immediately.
According to Channels, this was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Husaini Gumel, on Monday.
He stated that it has been reported that intelligence assessments have shown that both the New Nigeria Peoples Party and the All Progressives Congress are actively organising public demonstrations in opposition to the tribunal proceedings.
