Social Media Platform, Twitter on Tuesday removed the verification badge of President Bola Tinubu.

This comes a few hours after his official inauguration as the new president of Nigeria.

Also, the verification badge of former vice president Yemi Osinbajo was removed, while the verification badge for the former president, Major General Muhammudu Buhari (retd.), is still intact hours after he handed over power.

This comes on the heels of rebranding by Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, who had announced the final date for the free Blue badge removal via his verified account badges to be on April 20, 2023.
