The President of the United States, Joe Biden, on Wednesday, welcomed the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, to the White House.

The Ukrainian president is said to have embarked on his first trip outside his country since Moscow’s forces invaded, to seek an alliance with the US for Kyiv’s defense against Russia.

Bloomberg reported that Biden told Zelensky in the Oval office, “300 days, it’s hard to believe,” remarking on the length of time that has elapsed since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces invaded.

300 days of war as Putin has waged a brutal assault on Ukraine’s right to exist as a nation and the attack on innocent Ukrainian people.
