The Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, Ihunwo Chijioke, has said that it is the turn of Governor Siminalayi Fubara to rule in the state, and for eight years.
In a viral video on social media, Chijioke was heard affirming that the Labour Party in the state won the March 18 governorship election in the state but he together with others doctored the results in favor of the Peoples Democratic Party.
This development comes just hours after the former governor of the state and factional member of the PDP, Nyesom Wike, declared that the one ruling the state will soon be revealed.
Wike’s statement stems from the ongoing power tussle between him and his former protege and incumbent Governor of the state, Fubara.
The duo had a fall off months ago and several crisis have been wrought from their rift.
This recent statement by Chijioke, puts some affirmation on the rumors that Wike is trying to play god-father to Fubara, who allegedly had resisted and has held on the helm of affairs totally without the intrusions of Wike.
In the video, Chijioke speaking in Pidgin English, said, “Na payback time, nothing dey happen, no dey fear anybody.”
Referring to Wike he said, “E election na we write the result, Labour Party win all the election e no get ginger, e no win election.”
“I wan assure everybody, everybody that is here that we have a governor that lives people, that loves our people, governor that has…no be person wey go use you dump you.”
While it may appear that the NYCN leader was referring to the 2023 elections, the full details of his statements are uncertain and this platform cannot immediately verify his claims.
