Former Military Head State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar has allegedly said he and some other bigwigs in Nigeria will
leave the country if the Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress becomes President of this country.

According to the report gathered, Abubakar said this jokingly, during the National Peace Committee meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

It was gathered that Sowore turned down the move to reconcile him with the Action Alliance Candidate, Major Hamza Al-mustapha.

However Sowore, stated that his disagreement is political and is not only with Al-mustapha only, but the whole of the military gang that annulled June 12, 1993 election.

He further revealed that, he will not agree with the Head of the Committee, Abubakar as well, because he was also in the military.

According to him, “I have issues with all the military people that annulled June 12, 1993 elections including him (Abdulsalam).

While reacting to his statement, Abubakar who is the head of the Peace Committee said, “Sowore, you are talking about 20 years ago. By the time you become the President of this country, i think some of us will leave the country.

“Think quite honestly, let bygones be bygones. What has happened has happened. Let’s go on with what is in front of us.”

It would be recalled that Abubakar was the last Head of State in Nigeria, who returned the country into Democracy.
