She said her defection was informed by the impressive achievements of the APC-led government, especially in the areas of security, infrastructure, and social welfare.

The actress revealed this after she was welcomed by the APC National Women Leader, Stella Okotete, in Abuja on Monday.

Praising her for her humanitarian and empowerment activities, Okotete said Dikeh’s decision to join the APC was a wise one, adding that the party was committed to the welfare and development of women and youths in the country.

She also expressed confidence that Dikeh would contribute positively to the party’s vision and mission.

Dikeh, who is the deputy governorship candidate of the ADC in the 2023 Rivers State gubernatorial election, thanked Okotete and the APC leadership for accepting her into the party.

She also pledged to use her platform and influence to mobilize more women and youths to join and support the APC as well as to promote peace and unity in the country.

She said that she was ready to work with the party to deliver good governance and dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

Dikeh is a popular Nollywood actress, singer, songwriter, and philanthropist. She has starred in several movies and television shows, such as Dirty Secret, A Night with the King, and Zara. She also has a music career, having released singles such as “Hi” and “Itz Ova”. She founded the Tonto Dikeh Foundation in 2000, which focuses on empowering women, children, and youths through education, health, and skill acquisition.
