Why I won’t challenge Kogi election at tribunal – Melaye

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, said he has no intention of going to the tribunal over the just concluded off-season election.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the APC candidate, Usman Ododo, winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state.

The PDP candidate opined that there is no need to go to court, alleging that the judiciary has become an extension of the All Progressives Congress.

Dino, on Wednesday, added that no reasonable human would go to tribunal when the APC has already conquered it.

He said, “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary?

“I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
