Wike, Makinde, other G5 govs meet in Lagos

Ahead of next year’s elections, the aggrieved governors on the platform of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party have arrived in Lagos State and are currently holding a closed-door meeting in Lagos State.

The governors at the meeting include Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu).

The governors, whose details of their meeting are yet unknown, have been demanding the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

Other PDP chieftains present at the meeting include former deputy national chairman, Olabode George; former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, and former governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, among others.
